I dont buy EA games unless its on a console but i'm sure this is going to be the last EA console game i'll ever buy. Sure microsoft is buggy, but no where near what EA's released products are. I wonder how all this gets past QA? Does EA even TEST their games? They added a lot of new features, like this progression, so they HAD to of seen this.Īny application company, like software companies that make programs used in business, that had a product lineup full of bugs like EA has would go out of business. It appears that the entire philosophy of "Building" a franchise over time is useless in Madden 08 as there is not progression anymore but instead a disastrous case of mass regression at each progression period The only progression apparent after several test is that some players progress in Stamina. WR, TE, OL regress in Pass and Run Block HBs $ FBs regress in Carry and Break Tackle
90% or more of all players at all positions in the league take a reduction in Awareness. DL that don't come out of their stance after the snap progression works incorrectly (maddenmania forums, been tested and proved to work incorrectly) Here is a good video that pretty much sums up madden 08 for me, or pretty much any EA garbage. Their old games like Syndicate are far superior than the garbage they release now. Then again look at their PC games and you see it there as well. I think "Nextgen" in EAs eyes means graphics improvement only, every other aspect of the game taking a step backwards.
For example like how you can relocate and build a stadium but you cannot "rebuild" like in PS2? They may (may not) patch it to completion and there are many nonsensical or incomplete features. IMO this is another poor EA game where they obviously didn't use a QA department. The only thing that progresses is the seeminly random habit of certain teams WRs gaining like a +10 or more increase in all their important stats. the lack of that completely ruins the game for me.Ī player gaining +1 +2 ovr at the end of the year, usually due to the fact that it doesn't update OVR when you train, is not progression. I was having fun with this game until i realized how buggy and broken it was, especially franchise mode.
